Slavic Linguistics

Recording of the presentation of focus areas (2020)

Language of instruction

Depending on the courses chosen: German or target language (e.g. Czech, Polish, Russian, Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin or Serbian). Note that some courses can also be taught in English, but the instructors need to be informed and asked about this as early as possible, i.e. August for the autumn semester, January for the spring semester. The methodology courses are all taught in English.

Regulations

In the focus area Slavic Linguistics (Slavische Sprachwissenschaft) you have to choose modules according to the following rules:

  • all compulsory modules (P-Module) from the module group "Methodology" (Methodologie), which are 30 ECTS credits in total
  • at least 12 ECTS credits from the module group "Languages and Structures" (Sprachen und Strukturen)
  • at least 30 ECTS credits from the module group "Slavonic Linguistics" (Slavische Sprachwissenschaft), including at least 18 ECTS credits from core elective modules (WP-Module)
  • at least 18 additional ECTS credits of free choice within the program
  • Master thesis (30 ECTS credits)
